As CEO of Cross Compass Inc., he is in charge of the company's strategy to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research that contributes to humanity and AI technology for social implementation.
Antoine Pasquali, PhD
Director
Antoine, a PhD in cognitive neuroscience and an expert in engineering and automatic control science, has 20 years of experience in deep learning development in industrial robotics, manufacturing, food industry, finance, psychophysics and brain imaging, and currently leads the research and development of Cross Compass' technological innovations as a research and technology advisor.

His main research areas span multiple groundbreaking fields, including machine learning algorithms, emergent communication, multiple intelligences, collective problem-solving mechanisms, creative machine design, and the mathematical structure of conscious experience. He has been elected president of the International Society for Artificial Life, which manages and promotes advanced interdisciplinary scholarship and education in these research fields and their positive social and industrial impact, from 2023. He also co-founded ALIFE JAPAN in 2021.
Olaf says he envisions a new era of AI in the future that combines biological and artificial cognition. His dream is to create an environment where AI can contribute to society beyond its functions.

Through our many years of experience in the development and manufacturing of large-scale integrated circuits in the semiconductor industry, we have gained a deep understanding of the challenges that digital transformation will face and must solve in the future.
Given this background, we believe that in IoT systems, where large volumes of digital data flow between multiple devices connected by large-capacity, high-speed communication networks, valuable data needs to be analyzed and controlled as big data on edge devices, and that this requires the support of the latest innovations using artificial intelligence (AI).
